About Pay Rate Groups
Pay Rate Groups are used to calculate the value of a shift. In each Pay Rate Group there is an hourly break down of pay per hour for a certain role/shift type. This is then put against the shift and, depending on the length/time of day of a shift, RotaMaster calculates the cost of that shift.
For example, a Doctor may be paid at a rate of £50 when working between the hours of 08:00 and 21:59, yet be paid at £70 when working between the hours of 22:00 and 07:59. This can be reflected in a Doctor Pay Rate Group in order to correctly calculate the value of the shift.
Pay Rate Groups are configured under Finance+ > Pay Rate Groups;
On the left hand side of the window is the menu listing all the existing Pay Rate Groups.
To view details of a Pay Rate Group, click on the Pay Rate Group name and details will be displayed on the right of the window (Example is Administrator above).
