Adding, Deleting and Hiding Teams

A Team will sit under a Rota Group and helps organise your staff within the system. This guide will outline how to create, delete and hide Teams on RotaMaster

What is a Team?

A Team will sit under a Rota Group and helps organise staff within the Rota Groups. Teams can be used to manage how many staff are off on annual leave at any one time, who can use shift bookings and who can view values of the shift. 

Adding a Team

To add a Team go to Rota>Rota Settings>Teams choose the Rota Group you want to add the Team to and click Add Team 

Enter the Team Name and the first line of the address then click Save your team will then show in the list of available Teams

Deleting a Team

You will only be able to delete Teams that don't have any personnel assigned to it. To delete a Team select the Team you want to delete and click Delete

If there are active personnel in the Team you will be shown a list of active Personnel. You can export the list by clicking Export to help you move them out of the Team.

If there isn't anyone assigned to the Team it will be successfully deleted.

Hiding a Team

Teams can be hidden if you want to deactivate them on the system but don't want to permanently remove the information. Unlike deletion Teams can be hidden when there are Archived or Suspended staff assigned to it.

To Hide a Team select the relevant one and click Hide and it will be removed from the list. Like with deleting if you try to Hide a Team with active staff in it you will be shown a list of active Personnel. 

Once a Team has been hidden it will be removed from the list. Hidden Teams can be viewed by ticking Show Hidden in the bottom left of the screen, any hidden Teams will then show at the bottom of the list in grey

To unhide a Team click it and then click Unhide this will reactivate the Team
