Adding, editing and deleting Adjustments in Adjustments & Leave
To navigate to the screen referred to in this article navigate to Personnel>Adjustments & Leave
The filters on the left can be used to narrow down search results to specific 'Rota Groups', 'Teams' and date ranges.

Adding Adjustments
Adjustments are added to staff member by using the filters on the right to select the correct staff member and clicking 'Add Adjustment' .

This will open the Add Adjustment screen.

Here enter the following details:
- From and To date and time
- Reason - These are set up in Rota>Rota Settings>Adjustment Reasons
- Post - This is only if you're a People+ Customer
- Type
- Pay Rate Group
Other fields in the screen are not mandatory.
✋Please note, annual leave cannot span two different leave years. These should be entered as 2 periods of leave, one for each leave year
If the staff member is working shifts within the date range, they will be shown in the 'Shifts' section of the 'Add Adjustment' box .

By default these will be ticked, as above. If you 'Save' from this point, the system will warn that the employee will be removed from the selected shifts;

Click 'Yes' and the Adjustment will be saved.
You can also add a 'Shift Adjustment' through this screen. Once you have entered the date range, if the adjustment reason is not marked as a 'Shift Adjustment', you will see an additional box at the bottom of the adjustment to add another adjustment to the record.

Editing Adjustments
Adjustments can be edited in the Adjustments & Leave screen by using the filters on the left of the screen to search for the relevant Adjustment and double clicking it.
This will show you the Edit Adjustment screen.

Here you can make any relevant changes to the Adjustment and click Save.
ℹ️ When editing an 'Adjustment' that has already been approved, it will become unapproved upon saving. Learn more about approving adjustments.
If you are extending the length of the 'Adjustment' then the staff member will be removed from any shifts within the extended period.
✋If you are shortening the 'Adjustment' the staff member will not be added back into any shifts they were removed from. This can be done by navigating to the live rota and editing shifts there.
The 'Pay Rate Group' of multiple 'Adjustments' can be edited at once by selecting them using the tick boxes and clicking 'Quick Edit'.

Adjustments for multiple staff can be viewed at once by using the Advanced Search option

Once you have clicked 'Quick Edit' you will be given the option to select a 'Pay Rate Group' from the drop down, select the relevant Group and click 'Confirm'.

Deleting Adjustments
Adjustments can be deleted in the Adjustments & Leave screen by using the filters on the left of the screen to search for the relevant Adjustment. Select the Adjustment using the tickbox and click 'Delete'.

You will be asked to enter a cancellation Reason - set up in Personnel>Reference Settings - and enter a comment, then click 'Save'.

The Adjustment will then be deleted.
✋When deleting an Adjustment the staff member will not be added back into any shifts they were removed from. This can be done by navigating to the live rota and editing shifts there.
