Annual Leave Entitlement for Staff on 0 Hours Contracts

This feature is for customers with our People+ module. Once set up, this feature will assign a full time leave allowance to staff who are on a 0 hours' contract.

Enabling the Feature

To turn this feature on, go to Configuration > Default Settings > Options > Leave and Adjustments and enable 'Assign Full Time Leave Allowance to Staff with 0 Hour Contracts'.

 

Setting up Full Time Leave Allowances

Full time leave allowances are set up per Post. This is done by going to the Personnel tab and selecting Post Manager and then a Post. Within each Post, there is a field for Full Time Leave Allowance in Days and Hours. Both of these must be filled in. 

 

Upon saving the full time leave allowances, a table of the new proposed leave allowances for anyone assigned to that Post with 0 contracted hours will appear. At this point, you can choose whether you'd like to update or ignore the allowance for each person by unticking the update against the staff member's name. This grid can also be exported to view later.

 

Adding a Person to a Post with Full Time Leave Allowance Assigned

Once the full time leave allowance is set up in Post Manager, when you add a person to a Post from their Personnel record and give them 0 contracted hours, they will automatically be assigned the full time leave allowance. 

 

Changing a Person's Contracted Hours to 0

If a person has contracted hours set up within their Post contract and you change these to 0, you will be shown the new proposed allowance and given the option to update or ignore the new proposed allowance.
