Blocking Shifts
Blocked shifts are not uploaded to the Web Bookings or Availability pages of the Web Portal, regardless of their status/confirmed/provisional/team name.
This is a useful feature if a vacant shift does not need filling, or if a salaried member of staff is on leave and is not required to be replaced.
Shifts can either be blocked in Shift Pattern Manager (and they will remain blocked in the View Rota screen when rolled out), or in the View Rota screen.
Blocking Shifts in Shift Pattern Manager
Shifts can be blocked in Shift Pattern Manager by editing a shift and ticking the 'Blocked' tick box;
When this shift is next rolled out into a live calendar, it will show as Blocked.
The blocked column in View Rota shows blocked shifts with a red dot;
Blocking/Unblocking Shifts from View Rota
One/multiple shifts can be blocked from the View Rota screen using the 'Other > Blocked' function.
Select the shifts that you would like to block/unblock, click on the 'Other (Cogs)' button and then either select Block or Unblock.
Any changes that have been made to the block status will require an upload for them to show on the Web Portal.
