In RotaMaster you can restrict individuals from working at certain Zones by applying a rule to their Personnel Record. This would then apply when allocating shifts in a rota and they could only be placed in a shift that doesn't break that rule.
To apply the restriction to a Personnel Record select Rota>Rules and choose the Rota Group as illustrated below;
Double click on the individual and click the Green Plus button which will bring up a Pop Up Box;
Select 'Cannot work in Zone' from the drop down box and select the Zone from the Rule Details.
Once you have Saved, this rule will then appear and can be edited or deleted by clicking either the blue pen or the red cross.
There are a number of different rules that can be applied to an individuals Personnel Record, the full list can be found by clicking here.
Zones can also be Blacklisted within a Personnel Record, when a new Personnel Record is created all Zones will be automatically Whitelisted (this can be changed in Rota Group Web Settings).
To do this find the Personnel Record, open it and then click Rota > Web Settings. The Zone Whitelist can be found in the middle right of the screen.
The left hand panel shows all Zones that this person is Whitelisted for, and the right hand pane shows the Zones that they are Blacklisted for. In the above example, when Caroline Hemmingway logs onto the Web Portal she will be able to view and book any shifts that are available in Central Leeds, North Leeds etc. but she will not be able to view any shifts in GP Where You Are, London or Test Zone
To move Zones between the two lists, use the toggle buttons at the top of that section.
From left to right these buttons;
- Move all Zones from Blacklist to Whitelist
- Move selected Zone from Blacklist to Whitelist
- Move all Zones from Whitelist to Blacklist
- Move selected Zone(s) from Whitelist to Blacklist
Multiple Zones can be selected by clicking the tick boxes:
Any inactive Zones on the system will be displayed with [Inactive] following their name.
