Enabling location based clock-in

Please note this feature is only available for organisations who have both the Mobile App and Attendance+ licences.

What is this feature?

Location based clock in and out allows you to set a 'fence' around a Duty Station. Staff will only be able to clock in and out of a shift when they are within the 'fence' that has been set. This allows you to ensure staff are at the location of their shift before they can clock in to the shift.

How can I enable this feature?

This feature can be enabled on a 'Duty Station' basis. To enable this:

Edit the 'Duty Station' you would like to enable this feature for

Tick 'Allow clock in when [X] metres away from Duty Station'

Then on the same setting, add the distance to the setting (please note this value must be between 1 and 10,000 metres)

Ensure the 'Duty Station' has a location set by setting Longitude and Latitude values. Click 'Set New Lat/Long'

Enter a post code and/or an address and click 'Search'. You can then click on the map if needed to move the red pinpoint to the exact 'Latitude' and 'Longitude' if you are not happy with where the pin lands when entering the post code or address in the search field.  Once you are happy with the 'Latitude'  and 'Longitude' settings, click 'Accept'. 

You can also edit the 'Latitude' and 'Longitude' using free text, by clicking in to each of the text boxes and adding in your own 'Latitude' and 'Longitude' numbers.

Once you are happy with the 'Time and Attendance' settings, press 'Save'.

Any shift with that 'Duty Station' will now have this feature enabled. This means that staff will not be able to clock in or out of shifts at this 'Duty Station' until they are within the correct distance of the 'Duty Station'.
