Setting up Multi-factor Authentication with SMS for Admin users

The following article covers how to set up a RotaMaster admin account to use Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) with SMS for both RotaMaster and Staff Hub

Setting up MFA in RotaMaster

When you log into RotaMaster, you will be prompted to set up MFA.

1. Select 'SMS'

2. Press 'Next'

Validating your phone number

If this is the first time you have set up MFA with your phone number, you will be asked to validate it.

3. Press 'Validate' - this will send you a text with an authentication code.

💡RotaMaster only accepts UK and Irish mobile numbers. As we record the international dialling code, you do not need to include the first 0 when entering your phone number.

4. Enter the 6 digit authentication code and press 'OK'

5. You have now successfully set up MFA and will be logged into the system - you will be sent  an authentication code via text every time you log into RotaMaster from now on.

Setting up MFA in Staff Hub

💡If you have already followed the above steps, you do not need to set up MFA separately for your Staff Hub Admin account - it will automatically be enabled for you.

When you log into the Staff Hub, you will be prompted to set up MFA.

1. Select 'SMS'

2. Ensure your phone number is correct in the 'Device' field

3. Press 'Submit'

4. Enter the 6 digit authentication code you have been sent via email

4. Press 'Submit' again - you will now be logged in and MFA will be enabled.
