This guide will show you how to book or request a shift
You can either book or request shifts on your Staff Hub which option you have will have been dependant on your service.
If your service use Approved Shift Bookings you will be able to request a shift, this request will then go back to your rota administrator who will then approve or decline your request - you will receive the decision by email or SMS
If your service use Direct Shift Bookings you will book a shift and be automatically assigned the shift without any administrator intervention
To book or request shifts you will need to be logged into the Staff Hub then in the Shift Bookings Tab
Depending on the allocation method chosen by your service you may find that the wording is slightly different to what you see here - the method used below is Approved Shift Bookings
Use the filters down the left hand side of the screen to chose the date range, Duty Station, Shift Group and Roles of shifts available for you to book.
The plus button to the side of the date will show if there are any dependencies or notes attached to the shift that you will need to know about to carry out the shift (a dependent can be a specific job that you might have to do within that shift). You will also see a tick in the Additional Data box next to the shift
To book a shift tick the box adjacent to the shift then click Request at the bottom of the screen. You will receive an email to let you know if your request has been successful - you will also receive an email if your request has been unsuccessful
Any pending web bookings can be viewed in Web Bookings>Pending Web Bookings:
The example below uses Direct Web Bookings
You can see that you still have the functionality to filter out the options you don't want to see.
To book a shift click this will book the shift for you and place the shift in your rota
