Working Out Leave Duration

The system will work out leave duration in a number of ways depending on how your system is set up.

Configuration

If your staff are requesting leave from the web portal and their primary rota group does not have the rota group setting for ' Automatically calculate leave duration' on. Then they will need to enter the duration themselves on the web portal. This will not be automatically overridden.

If you do have the automatically calculate leave duration setting turned on then you will need to have set up the daily working hours against the person's post.

For People+ customers, go to Personnel > Personnel Manager > click on the relevant Rota Group & Team, then double click the staff record > Posts > Contracts > double click to open the relevant contract > Daily Working Hours:

For Leave+ customers, go to Personnel > Personnel Manager > click on the relevant Rota Group & team, then double click the staff record > Leave > Leave Settings 

If your staff members don't work regular days, you can now set the amount of days a person usually works per week in their Leave Settings. These will then be used to calculate the duration of their Annual Leave requests or adjustments. Note: this can only be used with Annual Leave units that are in days.
