Creating a Note

Notes can be added to shifts on Shift Pattern Manager by selecting your Shift and clicking the Note button in the top icon bar

Click Add Note

The Add Note box will allow you to choose a note type, enter the details of the note and mark it as private.

✋If a note is marked as private only the confirmed staff member will be able to view the note, otherwise anyone else who has access to the shift will be able to see it. Click here for a guide on viewing notes on Staff Hub

Viewing a Note

Any shifts with notes assigned will show the note icon in the Note column on the Shift Pattern Manager

Hovering over this icon will show you the note text. If you want to view the details or edit the note then select the shift and click the Note button to reopen the note window

This window will allow you to add an additional note and edit or delete any existing notes on the shift. 

Adding a flag to a shift

Flags are used to highlight certain information for a shift, i.e. a locum or overtime shift, To assign a flag to a shift select the relevant shift and click the flag button

You will be able to select the relevant flag from the drop down box and click Save

💡Want to assign the same flag to multiple shifts? Press and hold Ctrl on your keyboard and select all the relevant shifts before clicking the flag button

Once a flag as been added to a shift it will show in the Flag column of the Shift Pattern Manager

Flags can also be added by double clicking on the shift to open the Edit Shift window and clicking on the defaults tab. Here you will be able to add, edit and remove flags from shifts

✋ Only one flag can be added to a shift at any one time. Flags can be renamed in Rota>Rota Settings.
