Creating A Shift Pattern From An Existing Live Rota

When creating shift patterns in Shift Pattern Manager you can use a period of existing rota to save time. For example, if you have a four week period of rota in May 2023 that reflects how your templates should look going forward for a certain service, you can copy that four week period and create a template from it.

To do this, go to Rota > Shift Pattern Manager

From here, click on the Rota Group that you are creating the pattern for and then the Create a Pattern From Existing Live Rota button

You will then be able to enter the details of the live rota shifts you want to use for the Shift Pattern

Pattern Name - The name for this template.

Rota Group - The Rota Group that this template is for.

Rota To Copy Start/Finish - The dates in the live rota that this template should be copied from

Only Blocked Shifts - If ticked, the template will only be made up of any blocked shifts in the specified period

Only Confirmed Shifts - If ticked, only shifts with a Confirmed Person will be pulled into the template.

Click Save.

The new Shift Pattern will now be shown under the appropriate Rota Group in Shift Pattern Manager
