Building Pay Rate Patterns
In RotaMaster, staff can be paid for shift work in two different ways;
- Pay Rate Groups can be assigned directly to shifts. Staff that work those shifts are paid the value of the shift defined by the Pay Rate Group. To find out more about Pay Rate Groups, click here.
- Pay Rate Patterns can be assigned directly to staff members. Staff members can have their own pay rates, meaning that when they're allocated a shift the system will update the value of that shift based on their pay rates.
NB - The system will ALWAYS use the person's pay rates over the default shift pay rate.
This is done using Pay Rate Patterns.
A Pay Rate Pattern is a collection of Pay Rate Groups and can be assigned to a person(s). Pay Rate Patterns contain different Pay Rate Groups for;
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Saturday, Sunday
- Bank Holidays
- Overtime
The Pay Rate Groups still need to be added to RotaMaster before they can be used in a Pay Rate Pattern - see Adding a Pay Rate Group.
